Sara Hornig

I consider myself as a documentary photographer. My main topics are sociopolitical, often sensitive subjects, which I approach thoroughly.

It is crucial to go deep, to work long-term, with one project at a time. Both of my professions, photography and social work, are important to me. The different methods they offer for the same issues, feeds my way of thinking. In social field I work as a part of a multi-professional team giving support for families, with an aim to a positive change.

In the world of photography I have a passion for topics which are often hidden in daily life, and for visualizing them in an unconventional way.

My ambition is to build dialogue, understanding and openness to this world. I stand strong against the ethos of getting along alone.
