BredaPhoto Festival

11 September - 25 October 2026

The twelfth edition of the international BredaPhoto Festival opens on September 11, 2026. Across the city of Breda, the festival presents photography and audiovisual art in surprising locations, ranging from parks and vacant buildings to a former police station and an old prison.

This edition explores solace and resilience. What do you need to get back on your feet after a difficult experience, and how do you turn concerns about the world we live in into hope? Sometimes you find strength in rituals, spirituality, and art—by caring for one another with friends, family, or allies. Or you may recharge on your own, in the quiet of nature.

Tickets are available from June 2026 via the website.

Our Songs Came Through

Under the title Our Songs Came Through, BredaPhoto brings together powerful photography, video art, and immersive installations—from leading artists to emerging talents. At times, visitors even become part of the work. BredaPhoto shares stories that resonate, from people in different parts of the world who may be closer to you than you expect.

More than exhibitions

BredaPhoto Festival offers much more to see and do alongside its exhibitions. There is an extensive public programme, including guided tours, performances, artist talks, zen meditations, film screenings, workshops, and various activities for children. In collaboration with local partners in Breda such as the Stedelijk Museum Breda, the City Archives, Chassé Theater, and Nieuwe Veste, a city-wide programme is also created.

More to discover

Behind the scenes, we are still busy putting together the programme. In the coming months, we will announce new artists, locations, and activities. Keep an eye on this page or subscribe to our newsletter.
