When does the BredaPhoto Festival take place?

The 2026 BredaPhoto Festival takes place from 11 September to 25 October 2026.

What venues will host BredaPhoto Festival this year?

The festival takes place across multiple locations throughout the city, each with its own atmosphere, programme and selection of artists.

Are there any festival locations that are free to visit?

Yes, absolutely. The following festival locations are free to visit:

  • St. Anthony’s Cathedral
  • Chassé Park, XXL-Plein and Nonnenveld
  • Breda Central Station
  • Nieuwe Veste
  • The atrium at Carré Chassé
What are the festival opening hours?

The festival is open Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, with the exception of Nieuwe Veste, which is also closed on Sundays.

Waar kan ik het beste mijn bezoek aan het festival starten?

We raden aan om je bezoek aan BredaPhoto Festival te beginnen bij festivalhart Carré Chassé. Hier vind je het informatiepunt, waar je terecht kunt met al je vragen over het festival. Ook bevindt zich hier de BredaPhoto Bookshop en kun je fysieke tickets kopen voor het festival. Vanuit Carré Chassé ontdek je eenvoudig de verschillende festivallocaties en kun je je route door het festival starten.

How can I buy tickets for BredaPhoto Festival?

You can buy tickets online through our website.

Tickets are also available at the box office during the festival at the following locations:

  • Carré Chassé
  • Koepel District
  • Galerie Ecker
  • Clublokaal
  • Stedelijk Museum Breda
  • Stadsgalerij
Can I change the date and/or time of my ticket?

Yes, you can change the date and/or time of your ticket through Ticket Support.

Can I buy a gift ticket?

Gift tickets are available for day tickets. Simply select a day ticket in the ticket shop and choose the “Gift Ticket” option when selecting the date.

Where can I find my tickets?

Once your payment has been completed, you will receive your tickets by email. The email contains a QR code, which you can show at the entrance of the venue.

If you haven’t received your tickets, please also check your spam or junk folder.

 

Why can I only purchase one passe-partout at a time?

The passe-partout is personal and is issued in the ticket holder’s name. Each passe-partout is linked to a unique email address.

Why do I need to get a ticket for my child if admission is free?

We are able to offer free admission thanks to the support of several funds. By registering free tickets, we can show our funders that the festival is being enjoyed by a wide range of audiences.

I’ve purchased a ticket and would like to change it to a different date.

This can be done through Ticket Support.

I would like a payment receipt for my accounting.

Of course! Please send a request to info@bredaphoto.nl, including the tickets you purchased and a request for a payment receipt.

I have a Museumkaart. Is it valid at BredaPhoto Festival?

A Museumkaart is not valid at BredaPhoto Festival. However, CJP and BredaPas are accepted.

Do I need to show my QR code at every location?

At paid festival locations, you’ll need to show your QR code. However, at your first location, you can receive a sticker that allows you to visit all paid locations on the same day without having to show your QR code again.

Can I visit Stedelijk Museum Breda for free with my BredaPhoto Festival ticket?
Yes, you can! On the day your BredaPhoto ticket is valid, you can visit Stedelijk Museum Breda free of charge by showing your BredaPhoto ticket.
Accessibility
Are all festival locations wheelchair accessible?

BredaPhoto aims to make the festival accessible to as many people as possible. As the festival takes place across a variety of buildings and venues, accessibility may differ from one location to another.

That’s why each location page includes specific information about accessibility and facilities, such as wheelchair access, lifts, accessible toilets and other relevant amenities.

Can I bring my dog to BredaPhoto Festival?

Dogs are not allowed inside the festival’s indoor locations, except for assistance dogs that are clearly identifiable as such.

I have a disability. Can my support person enter for free?

Are you visiting the festival with a disability and need assistance? The visitor purchases a regular ticket, while one support person can enter free of charge.

Assistance dogs are welcome at this location.

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

Food and drinks are not allowed inside the exhibitions themselves. However, there is a seating area in the atrium at the main venue where you can enjoy your own packed lunch.
