Open Call for Young Ambassadors

As a Young Ambassador, you will become part of a small creative team experiencing the festival from the inside. You will receive full access to the festival, its programmes, and behind-the-scenes moments, along with the freedom to create and share your own story.

The twelfth edition of the BredaPhoto Festival 2026 opens on 11 September 2026 and runs until 25 October 2026. Spread across the city of Breda, the festival showcases photography and audiovisual art in surprising locations: from parks and vacant buildings to a former police station and the old women’s prison.

This edition focuses on comfort and resilience. What do you need in order to recover after a difficult experience? How can worries about the world we live in be transformed into hope? Sometimes strength is found in rituals, spirituality, and art, or in taking care of one another with friends, family, or allies. At other times, you may recharge alone in the quiet of nature.

Under the title Our Songs Came Through, BredaPhoto brings together striking photography, video art, and immersive installations — from leading artists to emerging young talents.

• You are between 18 and 27 years old
• You have an affinity with art and culture
• You are active in photography, video, design, social storytelling, or another visual discipline
• You have an engaged network or community (online and/or offline)

• Full access to BredaPhoto Festival 2026 + the accompanying in-depth programme
• Access to exclusive moments and behind-the-scenes experiences
• The opportunity to interview photographers, artists, and curators
• You will become part of a small creative team within the festival
• Space to develop your own content and ideas
• Your work will be showcased via BredaPhoto’s channels
• A small fee

• You follow the festival in your own way and share what you see, feel, and experience.
• You create content from your own perspective
• You share your experience through your own channels (such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or other platforms that suit you)
• Your posts may also refer to longer-form content, such as a blog, podcast, video, or other creative output
• Guideline: approx. 2 posts before, 3 during, and 1 after the festival
• We ask you to tag BredaPhoto where relevant
