Director Cao Guimarães traveled with his small crew along a few federal highways in the northeastern state of Minas Gerais in Brazil. There, he encountered three solitary travelers: Valdemar, Nercino, and Paulão. They wander alone, without a final destination, without any particular goal, merely moving toward the next moment. In doing so, each of them forms a unique connection with the landscape and the greater questions of life.
