Live Performance by Mónica Alcázar-Duarte
Drawing Knowledge
Mónica Alcázar-Duarte is originally from Mexico, of indigenous descent, she lives and works between the U.K. and Mexico. Becoming a migrant has shaped her way of seeing and thinking, and it deeply shapes her practice.
Join us for a durational performance by the artist in her current installation Space Nomads at Carré Chassé, Chasséveld 3A.
Alcazar-Duarte uses performance as a physical reflection on the creation of knowledge systems, and the ‘discovery’ of new worlds. Previous performances include Digital clouds don’t carry no rain at the V&A Museum in the U.K. , code:erase at the Wilhelm Hack Museum in Germany, and Seeds of Nepantla at Autograph Gallery, London.
