For a year, over 200 students work on a project related to the festival theme, receive feedback from curators and teachers, inspire each other, and expand their networks. Ultimately, three students get the opportunity to present their work at the festival. These winners receive the same attention in art production and communication as the renowned artists, which is one of the reasons why both the academies and students are so enthusiastic about the programme.

During the festival, we organise an extensive side programme with portfolio reviews, talks, tours, and meetings with photographers and curators. This programme is accessible to talent participants, but also to other audiences within the festival.
The ITP has grown into a springboard for a new generation of photographers. For visitors, the programme offers a special opportunity to discover their work.
