Solace and resilience: what helps us find strength when life becomes difficult?

The 2026 edition of BredaPhoto Festival, Our Songs Came Through, explores the many ways people find solace and resilience in challenging times. Through photography and audiovisual art, the festival brings together stories about connection, care, spirituality, nature and the strength to keep moving forward.

Now we invite you to share your own perspective. What do solace and resilience look like to you? Submit a photograph inspired by the theme and enter in the MPB x BredaPhoto Photography Awards 2026.

Three MPB vouchers are up for grabs: €1,000 for first place, €800 for second place and €500 for third place. Your work could also be featured on BredaPhoto’s website and social media channels. Photographers based in the Netherlands and Flanders can enter.

Select or create a photograph inspired by the BredaPhoto Festival 2026 theme Our Songs Came Through. Show what solace and resilience mean to you. Your photograph must have been taken within the last two years and should be based on a clear, considered idea. Click here to explore this year’s BredaPhoto theme.

Click the submission link on this page to enter the awards. You will be directed to Pixoroo, the platform used to manage your entry. If you do not have a Pixoroo account yet, you can create one there.

Follow the steps on Pixoroo to upload your photograph and complete your submission. As part of your entry, you will be asked to add a link to the to the camera, lens or other piece of equipment from MPB that you’d like to win. Explore the MPB’s range here.

Once you have completed the form and submitted your photograph, you’re officially entered into the MPB x BredaPhoto Photography Awards 2026.
