I Remember Everything is a long-term project spanning the 35-year friendship between Danny Abood (photographed) and Julie Sundberg (photographer).

Danny Abood was a celebrated public performer, and a part of Australia’s pioneering drag troupe and anarchic creative collective of LGBTQIA+ performers, artists and activists. Julie’s images represent Danny at various points in his life; as a beautiful young man, in drag, on drugs, in his journey with a positive HIV diagnosis, in his final years battling cancer and in all of the moments in between. At the end of his life, Danny asked Julie to visit and photograph him on his deathbed. His last words to her were: ‘We always said we’d do this to the end.’
